Reduce Water Waste
By Dr. Alan Greene

Make yourself a promise to reduce water waste with these three simple steps:1

  1. Fix faucet drips by replacing the washers. Stopping a drip that’s going at a rate of one drop per second saves twenty-five hundred gallons per year.

  2. Decrease hot water use. Install low-flow shower heads or cut your time in the shower to save up to 350   pounds of carbon dioxide a year.

  3. Switch to a tankless water heater to save three hundred pounds of carbon dioxide and as much as $390 a year.
