Easy-to-grow, abundant, one- to two-inch daisy like flowers in pink, purple, and white appear from late spring through summer with a lacy elegance. Nice for cutting, cosmos grows quickly to 4 feet or more; dwarf types grow half as high.
Use cosmos at the back of borders; dwarfs are good for edging or in containers. Set out transplants in full sun in spring, after any danger of frost, or sow seeds directly in the ground in full sun. Stake taller varieties and remove flowers as they fade.
