Chinese Forget-Me-Not (Cynoglossum Amabile)
By Bill Marken & The National Gardening Association

Think of the Chinese forget-me-not as an almost-wildflower. It resembles the familiar forget-me-not, but its flowers are a bit larger.

The plant is easy to grow from seed, spreads and sprawls like a weed, and reseeds to return the next year if conditions suit it. The tiny but abundant skyblue or deep blue flowers are striking in spring borders with bulbs. Plants grow up to 18 inches tall.

In early spring (or fall, in mild-winter climates), sow this plant’s seeds directly in the ground. Chinese forget-me-nots prefer to be in full sun. The seeds of this plant are sticky and can attach themselves to clothing and pets.
