Bedding Begonia, or Wax Begonia (Begonia Semperflorens)
By Bill Marken & The National Gardening Association

Crisp, glossy, and succulent, bedding begonias have small but profuse flowers, in shades of pink, red, and white, that last from late spring through summer. Begonia leaves can be colorful, too, with dark bronzy tones and bright greens.

These easy-to-grow, very dependable plants grow 6 to 12 inches tall. Use them to edge borders, as mass plantings in beds, or in containers. Set out transplants in full sun in mild-summer climates, or in part shade in hot-summer climates.

Plant in spring, after the danger of frost.
