Makes about 1 cup
INGREDIENTS
2 cups huckleberries
2 tablespoons vintage port
PREPARATION
Place the huckleberries and port in a nonreactive saucepan and slowly simmer for 15 minutes until the berries soften and the juice flows. If using Eastern huckleberries, you may want to press the mixture through a sieve to remove the seeds. Serve the sauce in a gravy boat.
