Asian pears make very delicate and refreshing granita.
SERVINGS
Serves 4 to 6
INGREDIENTS
1 pound ripe Asian pears (3 or 4 pears), peeled, cored, and roughly chopped
1 cup superfine sugar
PREPARATION
In a blender, combine pears and sugar. Puree well, and pour the mixture into a bowl or tray.
Place it in the freezer and give it a stir every 10 minutes or so until it’s frozen and grainy. n
