I believe in organic production, but I don't think small organic farms are the answer to the global food crisis. Large farms have proven to be the most effective and efficient with conventional food production, so why not take this same approach with organic production?

The problem with organic farming is that it doesn't produce the same yield that conventional methods can. In the short term, at least, we need to focus on the food crisis by feeding the world population in the most economically efficient way possible. Unfortunately, this may mean sticking with a more conventional and environmentally destructive way of farming.

I agree with having smaller organic food farms but I'm also in favor of keeping the much larger so we can keep up with food production. If their are more smaller ones to maybe it can help stablize the food crisis slowley but surley it will. Sorry for bad grammer and punctuation.

The first crop grown in many states was hemp. 1850 was a peak year for Kentucky producing 40,000 tons.Hemp was the largest cash crop until the 20th century. (State Archives.) This was all done on small organic farms From: http://www.tpuc.org/content/marijuana-conspiracy
