Why Do We Need to Worry About Wasting Water?
By Eric Corey Freed

Water, water everywhere. . . . Water is one of the most abundant resources on earth. With water covering 70% of the planet, you might think our supply is endless. But we don’t just need water — we need drinkable water.

A whopping 97% of the world’s water supply is undrinkable seawater, with another 2% locked frozen in the polar ice caps. That leaves only 1% that’s usable — and more than half of that water is polluted.

This guide will take you through how we use water in our homes, and the steps you can take to reduce the amount of water you use. From a flush down the toilet to a heavy rainfall, after reading this guide you may never think about water the same way again.
