The skin is the largest organ of the body and according to Ayurveda the health of the skin reflects the health of the body.  Ayurveda has suggestions for how to help our skin be its healthiest from the inside out and from the outside in!

Eat foods that are fresh and wholesome.  Avoid processed foods, fried foods and heavy foods, such as dairy products.  Choose dark leafy greens and drink plenty of water.

For skin care the daily routine is cleanse, tone and moisturize twice daily. Some products that can be particularly helpful:

CLEANSE

Ayurda Cucumber and Basil Cleanser won “Best Cleanser” at Nature & Health 2009 Natural Beauty Awards!

This cleanser is considered to be the finest of all natural and organic eye and skin makeup removers available for Pitta skin types.

Award winning Ayurda Cucumber and Basil Cleanser is prized purity and effectiveness as a natural cleanser and gentle eye makeup remover.  It is enriched with natural Vitamins A, D and E and plant extracts for sensitive, delicate skin.

The Ayurvedic secret to proper cleansing is to thoroughly remove accumulated dirt and any dead cells and toxins without stripping away the skins natural oils and water content.  This cleanser removes impurities and nourishes the skin, a powerful antibacterial and anti-viral agent and is a cooling agent that softens and smoothes.

TONE

In strict accordance with Ayurvedic parameters, Ayurda Blackberry Astringent contains important astringent, anti-bacterial, antiseptic and toner herbs, which facilitate easy absorption.

This Ayurvedic astringent can clear up pimples and soothe the inflammation. It also helps to tighten the skin, thus preventing the premature signs of aging and a complete skin freshener that can be used as an aftershave

MOISTURIZE

Oftentimes people with acne hesitate to moisturize because they don’t want to add more oil to the skin.  However, the skin needs moisture Ayurda Magic Touch is a moisturizer that is also a natural acne inhibitor.

This ancient formula is formulated for skin with acne, pimples and oily skin and is also a cooling cream, which helps bring the temperature of skin to normal. Chandan (Sandalwood) is one of the key ingredients that help soothe the inflammation, while shrinking and preventing skin eruptions.

EXFOLIATE

Ayurda Invigorating Scrub exfoliant acts as a polisher and combined together with its Almond oil and plant extracts, tones and smoothes the skin. This gentle exfoliant helps to gently sweep away the dead skin cells and revitalize the skin promoting new skin cell regeneration.

This is a natural and gentle exfoliant and can be used every other day. Ingredients such as, walnut and bahera help remove dead skin and blackheads. Saffron acts as a mild antiseptic while nourishing the skin an almond and wheat germ help to soften and soothe.

AS NEEDED SPECIAL TREATMENT

Silver has been used for centuries in Ayurveda for its cooling and healing properties.

Toning and purifying lodhra and Himalayan wild cherry in Ayurda Silver Gel, are combined with pure silver foil, which helps to build the skin’s natural integrity and results in clearer, happier skin.

This is a wonderfully unique treatment for blemish, acne and pimple prone skin. Pimples are caused by excess heat in the tissue and increased sebum/oil production. This treatment helps to lower the core temperature of the skin, shrink the eruptions and prevent recurrence.

Ayurda Silver Gel is also an effective treatment for sunburn and laser surgery repair and relief. Post skin laser surgery recovery time is improved 30 to 50 percent. Ayurda Silver Gel is recommended for all facial skin conditions where the result shows as red skin which indicates it is out of balance and too hot.
