My name is Lucy Dimitrova and I am a young environmentalist, living and studying in Bulgaria. I was born in a small town, called Vratsa, located in Northwest Bulgaria and surrounded by beautiful mountains and magnificient landscapes, bursting with wildlife.
Exploring these landscapes has always been one of my most favorite activities. I am constantly inspired by the nature around me and all the amazing creatures living here. A good way to describe my impression is art. That's why I usually spend my free time drawing animal sketches. You can see my art here.
Conservation, however, is my biggest interest. We all see the fatal consequences our activities are causing – habitat loss, climate change, poaching, pollution, etc. - the list is so long that conservation is not only important, but necessary and urgent nowadays.
I love hiking, climbing, being outdoors in general. Outside of nature-related activities, I am also a huge sci-fi fan and a strict vegan.
