Your diet should focus on whole foods that are unprocessed and as fresh as possible. Although it's difficult to have a diet that is 100 percent whole foods, shoot for this as a goal when you prepare meals. A whole foods diet will be much richer in nutrients and enzymes than packaged, processed foods are.
Examples of whole foods include whole grain breads and cereals; fruits; vegetables; fresh fish, poultry, and meats; and nuts and seeds. Essentially, foods that have not been processed are whole foods-just the way nature intended them to be.
